What is the name of your business and what type of business is it? How long have you been in business and who is your ideal client?
Ideal Woman is a symbol of female empowerment. It was created to remind everywomen that they are the Ideal Woman. The avatar is currently available in fine jewelry, lucite jewelry, stickers, ceramics, large sculptures and prints.
I have been working on Ideal Woman since 2010 but it became a “business” in 2015.
Every woman and feminist man is my ideal client! People who believe in equality and female empowerment are all Ideal Women!
So you’re a mompreneur, eh? How old are your children and what are their names?
Jasper is 6 month old!
Speaking of momming and being an entrepreneur, what would you say is the most challenging thing about being a working mama? What is the most rewarding?
Jasper is still a baby so I always want to be with him. I find it very challenging to step away to take the time I need to get things done. I guess I am still in the mommy bliss phase!
Both Ideal Woman and my son are extremely rewarding. I am able to empower and remind women that they are perfectly imperfect and provide my son with unconditional love. Both are invaluable to me!
A #SAVOIRMompreneur is seasoned, refined, confident, graceful and intuitive. What does this look like in your everyday life?
Confidence is key. Believe in yourself and what you are doing. Through pregnancy and motherhood, your exterior changes, but your exterior is just your icing on the delicious cake that you are.
Ask for help and hold your partner accountable ( if you have one). It is impossible to do everything on your own. It takes a village!
What’s your best advice to female business owners looking to start and/or grow a family?
Just do it!
