We have Brice for today’s Faces of Harlem feature.

NAME: Brice Sidnoma

AGE: 27

WHERE ARE YOU FROM? Burkina Faso

WHEN DID YOU COME TO U.S.? 6 years ago, in 2008

WHY DID YOU COME TO U.S.? School

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT HARLEM? It’s a melting pot and the convenience. I  live, work, and study here. Also, the diverse music venues. I like almost every type of music.

LANGUAGES: English, French, German, 2 different African dialects

What Brice misses most from home is his family, friends, and the opportunity to help through activism and community building. He is very involved in the Harlem community, but wishes he could also do that back home. While he’s here in the U.S., Brice wants to use his dual-citizenship to work at the U.N. and in Washington. In 10 years, Brice sees himself working with a non-profit living in a different country like Sri Lanka or Tokyo. Ideally, his dream job would be to work at a refugee camp.
